That's the best difficulty for a first playthrough, especially seeing how you played SoM beforehand. God, some people are obsessed with Brutal, they forget that it isn't for new players. It's a whole separate kind of beast that changes the game in drastic ways. Second playthrough, maybe, but not the first.
This game doesn't end when the story is over. Its absolutely worth getting, especially on sale, even in 2020. Combat is excellent, army building is uniquely engaging and the endgame is satisfying. The different difficulty modes are amazing. Suits all playstyles and isn't simply the sort of "enemies only have more health on max difficulty" style .

We have lots of movement options like using focus to run faster, faster climbing by timed button press etc, double jumps, Talion strike to cover large gaps etc. Graphics are a huge leap and it doesn't feel like an "Old" game.
